What does being an accredited building company mean for you?

Here at Cowley’s Building and Maintenance we are always wanting to go above and beyond the positive expectations of our clients. That’s why we have been accredited with several independent trade associates over the past couple of years for our work as general builders Exeter.

We’ve worked hard to achieve accreditation

“The nature of our work brings many hazards. Therefore, it is fundamental that we are aware of the health, safety and environmental impacts involved in building and maintenance work.”

Being an accredited company means that we follow procedures recognised by national trade standards. These include and are not limited to:

• CHAS – As a credible leader in Health and Safety Management, we are proud to be accredited for our healthy and safety standards, working environments and staff communication.
• CITB – Through CITB construction skills we are able to apply for levy grants towards ongoing training for our staff, as well as allowing us to employ apprentices – essential for the future of professional and expert builders.
• Repair Care – We have been fully trained in a range of products which enable is to achieve permanent, safe and durable repairs, rather than replacement.
• Trading Standards ‘Buy With Confidence Scheme’ – We are rigorously tested by trading standards to make sure we comply with the high standards.
• Green Accord ‘Superior Status’ – Recognised by Exeter City Council Environmental Management for our commitment to reducing environmental impact and how we dispose of waste.
• ACDC Register Health & Safety – We have recently been awarded gold status by committing to best practice and high standards of quality within the building industry.

Accredited, for you

Our experience in the building industry has certainly helped us gain these accreditations, but it couldn’t have been without the confidence in our clients who we have worked with over the past 15 years. We understand that builders sometimes have a bad reputation for ‘dodgy jobs’ and unfinished work.

However, we are not those builders. We fight to diminish that stereotype and want to prove to our customers that no stone is left un-turned when we come to discuss your upcoming project.

From larger jobs such as suspended ceiling installations and conversions, to general painting and decorating and landscaping Exeter services, we always apply the highest standards in health and safety. This means that when we meet to discuss your future project you can have full confidence in our expert industry knowledge and professionalism.
