Being former employees we had an excellent insight of the company structure and values. During the time we have been operating as Exeter builders, our mission statement has been “to build and sustain excellence in client relations, our workforce and build projects”.

Estimator
John has been a reliable subcontractor for Cowley’s Building & Maintenance for the last 13 years. He began his bricklaying apprenticeship with Sidney Pratt, a respected building company in Exeter, right after leaving school several years back. John has nearly four decades of experience in the building industry and is a certified Site Manager.
Previously, John ran his own business, allowing him to gain extensive experience in estimating projects of various sizes, from domestic to commercial and industrial. He has supported Steve with quotes and has successfully managed building projects as a bricklayer. Now taking on the role of Estimator, John has replaced Steve. His extensive expertise, gained from running his own business and working as a bricklayer, makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
Director/Office Manager
Claire has been part of the Cowleys team since 2004. Although behind the scenes Claire’s drive and passion for the business has kept us at the forefront of our industry focusing her attentions on our business ethos, quality workmanship, customer relations, Health and Safety and value for money.
With a meticulous approach, an eye for detail along with her organisational skills Claire keeps Cowley’s offices running smoothly and up to date.
Claire is the first point of contact for the company and is happy to assist with all enquiries.
We are extremely proud to boast a team of highly skilled, fully qualified craftsmen who have years of experience and are fully dedicated in ensuring their work is of excellent standard and committed to giving complete customer satisfaction. They are all DBS Police Vetted and hold current CSCS cards and carry identification cards all for our clients peace of mind. All our site Managers and supervisors have been trained in the industry lead CITB SMSTS or SSTS courses and hold relevant certificates.
We provide ongoing training through our CITB trainers SSG as we value our staff and want them to enhance their knowledge, gain new qualifications and keep up to date with new legislation.
